Relish Epicure – Lime Grove

This lovely delicatessen is situated in the Lime Grove Centre which is in Holetown and home to all the upmarket shops.   This gorgeous place to eat sits in amongst them and holds it own.  As well as offering gluten free delights, I noticed that they also sell gluten free bread and muffins amongst the chiller section with no cross contamination!

They have rave reviews from Trip Advisor and is an excellent venue to enjoy fun, fresh food at a decent price.

Flatbread (Coconut flour and Psyllium)

Yummy flatbread

This recipe from www.divaliciousrecipes.com uses Psyllium in a grain free, dairy free bread recipe and is very easy to make too.   Since Psyllium and coconut flour are high in fibre this bread is very filling.  Make sure you drink a lot of water!  You can use this for dipping with sauces, spread with pate or load it up like a open sandwich.    Use it like a sandwich wrap, make a mini pizza…just have fun and enjoy it!  You could play around with the spices too, perhaps add chillis?   Yummy, tell me more Diva...

Island Plates

Island Plates have amazing reviews on Trip Advisor and are a must to visit.  The most wonderful Caribbean food is served in a cafe in Speightstown, St.Peters, at the back of the shopping square.    This is owned and run by sisters, Pat and Marie who are just delightful.  The service is friendly and the food is imaginative local cooking.  They have a menu with gluten free options and also have gluten free sandwiches made out of buckwheat and corn with tasty fillings.  Homemade cakes and delightful designer china crockery make for an archetypical English lunch or afternoon tea.  They also do ordinary bread of course, other similar snacks and light meals for lunch and excellent milk shakes all at very reasonable prices.

Go, you will not be disappointed.
